Fall Festival is HERE!!

Well I can't believe it but the Fall Festival is here!! All of the PTA, room parents and volunteers have put in countless hours making sure that you and your family have a GREAT time tomorrow night, Friday October 3rd. I want to thank each and every one of you for helping make the Fall Festival be successful!!
We are prepared in every area to have a wonderful Fall Festival rain or shine!! Of course shine is the perfect situation but we do have a back up rain plan just in case!!
I hope that you bring your family and friends out, have dinner, enjoy the class booth carnival games, listen to music by LSB the band, take a ride on the train, challenge your children to climb the rock wall, take part in the cake walk, check out the AMAZING Silent Auction baskets and last but not least, test drive a new Chrysler, fill out the form and Chrysler will donate $5.oo for every form filled out- The donated $850 last year- my goal this year is $1000!! That could pay for anywhere from 3-6 field trips that your children are going on!!!
Hope to see you tomorrow night, Friday October 3rd from 5-8pm!!
Let's hope that Mother Nature has plans until 8:00pm!!!

Fall Festival Update

We had a great meeting on Monday evening at the second Fall Festival Meeting and things are progressing nicely!! Thank you to everyone who has volunteered their time to ensure a successful Fall Festival!! If you have not done so already, please let your child's teacher know which time slot you are able to fill for all of the class booths!! 4th and 5th grade parents need to volunteer time as well so that all of our food booths, ie main food in the Cafeteria, the Popcorn Machine, SnowCone machine as well as the Cotton Candy Machine have plenty of people to run them so that all of the food booths run smoothly!! No worries we will show you how, they are all very easy to operate. Please give all of your classroom basket donations to your child's teacher ASAP so we are able to have an idea of what still needs attention and are ready to assemble at the Final Fall Festival /Basket building meeting on 9/29 at 7:15pm. We will be sending out presale ticket order forms in your Wednesday folders next week as well as selling presale tickets in the front of the school on Friday September 26th and Monday and Tuesday the week of the festival from 1:30pm-3:00pm. Get you tickets ahead of time so you don't have to spend all of your time in line!! If you have ANY questions please feel to contact Amy Cramer with any Booth/basket questions or Mina Robertson with any other questions.
We also have Vendor tables available at the Fall Festival for a $50.00 fee OR a donated basket with a $50 value or product. Spread the word!!
Thank you again for everyone who is working hard to make this a successful event!! We couldn't do it without YOU!!

Box Top Time

Hi everyone! It's time to turn in your Box Tops. We need them to be turned in by October 1oth so that we have a little time to bundle them up and send them off. Here are a couple helpful tips:

-It saves me time and helps me count the box tops faster if they are somewhat trimmed.

-Only the "official coupon" that is bordered by a dashed line and states the 10 cent value counts. It will be found on the back or the bottom of participating products.

-You don't have to attach them to a collection sheet - you can just load them up in a ziplock bag and turn them in.

-You can visit boxtops4education.com for more information. You'll find a list of participating products, fun collection sheets to print, our school's collection total, coupons for participating products, and you'll learn about other ways to earn money for our school by shopping online.

We want to encourage all of our students to ask their neighbors, friends, and grandparents to clip and save their box tops for us also. Parents could also put out a collection box at work.

Box tops add up quickly. If we had 200 students each bring an extra 25 boxtops from family and friends our school would earn another $500.00!!! That's a lot of money for fieldtrips, class supplies, and needed items for our school!

Remember

Fall Festival is around the corner! We need to do our part and help out the best we can. Please remember to take the letters to local businesses for donations. These donations make a huge part of the festival. The more businesses we ask the more raffle prizes we will be able to offer. If we don't ask how do we know they will say no not today! Thanks,
Carrie Lange
